Neuro-Ophthalmology deals with brain disorders that affect vision. It’s an important field that covers a wide variety of conditions – after all, five of the 12 nerves in your cranium have to do with your eyesight.
Our patients are treated for problems that affect the optic nerve and pathways that carry vision signals to the brain. There are also nerve diseases that can compromise vision by affecting the tissues that surround and support the eye.
We evaluate conditions such as:
- Asymmetrical pupils
- Blindness
- Blurred vision
- Double vision
- Eye or head pain
- Eyelid or facial contractures
- Unexplained vision loss
