However, for routine vision checks, glasses prescriptions and ongoing optical care, we recommend visiting your local optometrist. Optometrists are best placed to manage day-to-day refractive needs, such as updating glasses or contact lenses and can refer you to an ophthalmologist if any eye health concerns arise during your examination.
